Reports and analytics

Campaign reports, brand-wide analytics, and why open rates lie.

Nectazo reports at two levels: one campaign at a time, and everything together.

Fixing a link after you have sent

The email itself cannot be changed — it is HTML sitting in people's inboxes. But every tracked link goes through Nectazo before reaching its destination, so where it lands is still changeable.

On the campaign's report, Links in this email lists every link it contains. Put a new address next to the wrong one and everybody who has not clicked yet goes to the new place. Clearing the field restores the original.

  • It only affects this campaign. The same link in another campaign, or anywhere on your website, is untouched — which is why this is better than a redirect on your own site, where the old page would break for everyone else.
  • Clicks are still reported against the link that was in the email, not the corrected one. The report describes what people clicked; it is not rewritten to match the fix.
  • People who already clicked have already been to the wrong page. This helps everyone from now on, not retroactively.

Campaign reports

Once a campaign has sent, its page becomes a report showing:

MetricMeans
DeliveredAccepted by the recipient's mail server.
OpenedThe tracking image loaded. An undercount — many clients block images.
ClickedSomeone followed a link. The most reliable engagement signal there is.
BouncedDelivery failed. The address is suppressed automatically.
ComplainedMarked as spam. Also suppressed automatically.

Below that: which links were clicked and how often, and which contacts opened or clicked, so you can follow up with the interested ones.

Open rates are approximate

Open tracking works by loading a tiny image. Apple Mail Privacy Protection pre-loads it for everyone, inflating opens; clients that block images suppress them entirely. Treat opens as a trend, not a measurement, and judge campaigns on clicks.

The Analytics page

Analytics covers the whole brand: campaign performance over time, automation performance, form conversion, and list and contact growth. This is where you see whether things are improving, rather than how one email did.

Product clicks

Because click tracking records the real destination URL, Nectazo can match clicks against your synced catalogue and show which products people actually clicked. This works retroactively on campaigns already sent.
